Just for the Record:
Richard,

Thank you for all you are doing with the TGA Support Group/website and putting us on the map in regards to the NIH Rare Diseases Symposium. I live in Oregon so will not be attending.

Just for the record: I am a 68 year old female and have had four (and counting) episodes of TGA, all beginning with different “triggers.” As far as deficits, I have some difficulty with memory and verbalization in groups but not significant enough to be noticeable by others. I am told my cognition difficulties appear typical for my age. I do find myself feeling much more vulnerable in terms of traveling alone and I am frustrated with my difficulties in verbalizing.

My last episode happened when I was on vacation 3 months ago. It took me longer to feel “normal” afterwards. This seems to be increasing with each episode. The wife of the owner of the pensione (a small Italian hotel) I was staying in had her first TGA episode two weeks prior to mine. I was told her mother has a history of TGA.....most likely more common that statistics lead us to believe and still much to be discovered about this phenomena.
